Data sources & licences

Every record in Room Radius shows the source it came from. This page names those sources and the attribution and licensing that applies to each.

Official company registers

In Norway, company identity and headcount come from Brønnøysundregistrene (the Enterprise Register), a public register. Additional national registers will be added market by market.

Google Places

Business locations and details are retrieved from the Google Places API, which powers discovery and hotel look-up. Where Google Maps content is shown, it is attributed to Google as its terms require. In a customer scan this content is retrieved live and shown to you, not stored.

OpenStreetMap

Map tiles and some business locations come from OpenStreetMap. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Cartography is licensed CC BY-SA.

Public websites and event data

An employer’s own public website may be used to confirm contact details, and public event data may be used as a demand signal. These are attributed to their source on the record.

Licensed contact providers

Business-contact enrichment from licensed third-party providers is used only where a hotel has enabled it and where our agreement with the provider permits exposing that data to you. Until such an agreement is in place, this enrichment is not offered, and we do not describe licensed third-party data as data Room Radius sourced itself.

What this means for accuracy

Sources change and we do not control them. Room Radius reports what a source said and shows which source it was; it does not guarantee that a company has demand or that a detail is current. See our terms.
